2007
Legion Energy was founded with a vision to create world-class energy solutions.
2008
Began supplies with 132 kV hardware and started white-labeling AB cable accessories for 3M.
2009
Supplied 220 kV transmission line hardware to Kerala State Electricity Board—our first major state-level milestone.
2010
Earned KPTCL approval and supplied 110 kV solutions across multiple projects in Karnataka.
2011
Delivered our first 400 kV substation clamps and connectors to Jindal India Thermal Power Ltd through Siemens Ltd India.
2012
Expanded globally with our first export of clamps and connectors to Bangladesh.
2013
Expanded manufacturing capacity, growing from 3,500 sq. ft. to 15,000 sq. ft. in Bengaluru.
2014
Made our debut at ELECRAMA, Bengaluru. Supplied 220 kV Twin Moose (320 KN) transmission line hardware for a 110 km project for APTRANSCO, commissioned in 2015.
2015
Strengthened our global reach by supplying 145 kV transmission line hardware fittings for a 130 km project in Rwanda via M/s Partronics, Kenya.
2016
Laid the foundation of a new state-of-the-art 66,000 sq. ft. facility at Doddaballapur.
2017
Supplied 400 kV Twin Moose transmission line hardware for a 33 km stretch (320 KN).
2018-2019
Began full-scale manufacturing of OPGW accessories up to 765 kV and expanded production lines to meet growing demand.
2020
Received PGCIL approval for 400 kV insulator hardware, connectors, and OPGW accessories—solidifying national recognition.
2021
Supplied 400 kV Quad Moose hardware and spacer dampers for APTRANSCO. Transitioned from a partnership to a private limited company.
Also established Legion Insulators Pvt. Ltd. (polymer insulator manufacturing) and entered a partnership deed with Leon Smith.
2022
Introduced a dedicated women’s shop floor unit to manufacture new products—promoting diversity in energy.
2023
Received PGCIL approval for 765 kV connectors and successfully completed type tests for 765 kV SS insulation hardware.
2024
Acquired majority shares in Leon Smith Products Pvt. Ltd. Recognized as a Great Place to Work and certified with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and IEC 17025:2017. Entered a joint venture with Power Tower Company to manufacture hardware accessories in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
2025
PGCIL approval received for Legion Insulators. Awarded the ZED Gold Certification for excellence and sustainability.
